Projects

There are many models for helping needy children in poor countries. Our projects follow three different models, depending on the needs, culture and mission statement of the respective institutions.

Projekte mit Patenschaften

At Ashraya in Nepal, the focus is on promoting school education through sponsorships.

The children and young people usually live with their parents/relatives or in a hostel (boarding school). Our donors often sponsor the school and possibly hostel costs for a child, which range from €20 to around €100 per month depending on the school, class level and accommodation. However, partial sponsorships can also be arranged where several sponsors share the costs.

Children singing a song of thanks before lunch

At the Yamuna Children's Home in Nepal, children from precarious backgrounds experience security and structure

They live together with the director of the home and his wife like one big family in one house. The school is only a few minutes' walk away. Here too, funding is provided by sponsorships. The sponsors receive a letter every year at Christmas, school reports twice a year, and the children know about their sponsors and are deeply grateful to them.

Interested in a sponsorship?

Good to know: There are no obligations whatsoever. A sponsorship can be discontinued at any time, in which case we will look for a new donor and bridge the interim period with reserves from donations that are not earmarked for a specific purpose.

Project without sponsorships

The girls from WIDE

There is also a family atmosphere at the WIDE Children's Home in India.

There are no direct sponsorships between the children and individual donors. The director wants to avoid individual children receiving more attention or being favoured over others. All donations for WIDE are used to cover the costs of running the children's home as a whole.
