Our Guidelines

All Voluntary

What a shame when donations are used for administration, fundraising or travel expenses. That's not what they are intended for. But with large organizations, there is usually no other way. As a small association, we invest 100% of the donations in the projects. Administrative costs such as for the website, advertising material and Christmas mail are covered by the membership fees and travel to the projects is always privately financed.

Achieving a Lot with Limited Resources

An average of €65 per month (i.e. just over €2 per day) is needed for a child in the children's homes. This covers school, housing, food, clothing and health. Given the price increases in India and Nepal in recent years, especially in the capital Kathmandu, this is a truly moderate amount. This is possible because the people in charge are very prudent and only make the most necessary expenditures, grow a lot of food themselves and carry out many tasks themselves.

Personal Contacts

How is it that we are so often on site in person? The encounters with the children in the projects and possibly the sponsored children can leave deep impressions. This creates the desire to come back, and instead of a vacation, Nepal or India is always on the agenda. But the contacts are also essential for cooperation. This is because many things can be clarified more easily on site and a friendly relationship develops with the project partners, which is then also helpful when communicating from home.

Confessionally and Politically Independent

We are politically and confessionally independent and neutral. In Nepal, there are no real problems with the coexistence of different religions. In India, unfortunately, there are religious tensions that are often provoked by political interests. This makes it all the more important that the children's home we support there also sets an example of religious tolerance.
