Hartwig and Ulrike Seifert with Tashi Tsering Hamphe and Serki Sherpa in the garden of the Shechen Guesthouse

Hartwig and Ulrike Seifert (Chairman and Secretary)

Hartwig and Ulrike live near Karlsruhe. After many years of sponsoring a child, they have also been involved as members of the association since their first trip to Nepal in 2018. They have become friends with our local project partners through several trips to the children's homes in Nepal and India. ‘The warm exchange with the people, the sensitisation to their needs and hardships, as well as the example of their serenity and the children's zest for life are absolutely enriching.’

Rainer and Luisa Bohlayer

Rainer (2nd Chairman) and Luisa Bohlayer

During his travels in Nepal, Rainer experienced how caringly the guardians at the children's home in Kathmandu looked after the children, but also how necessary our external support is, and he spontaneously took on a sponsorship. Luisa and Rainer soon became founding members of our organisation. ‘We are still very happy to be associated with the organisation today, as we are impressed by the direct and personal support for the projects in Nepal and India.’

Corinna Hauth

Corinna Hauth

‘I am Corinna Hauth, mother of two children and natural beautician/coach. My wish is to give something of all the abundance here to others and to support them on their way!’

Nobi Jamarkattel und Manisha Shrestha

Nobi Jamarkattel and Manisha Shrestha

‘We found a new home in Germany in 2007. We studied here and now work in Karlsruhe. But our hearts still belong to Nepal. The children there suffer from extreme poverty and the consequences of natural disasters such as earthquakes. There is a lack of quality education and healthcare. With our commitment, we want to give these children hope and the chance for a better future.’

Sofie and Jonas Lyhammar

Sofie and Jonas Lyhammar

Sofie and Jonas live in Stockholm, Sweden. "After visiting the Yamuna Children's Home in Nepal in spring 2025, we wanted to contribute more actively. By helping with communication for a group of Swedish sponsors, we hope to strengthen its long-term sustainability for both children and community."

Madeleine Oberhofer with children from YCH on their way to school

Madeleine Oberhofer

Madeleine lives in Tyrol and travelled to Nepal in 2019. ‘The time I spent with the children at the Yamuna Children's Home and the Shwet Barahi School remains unforgettable for me. The children have grown so close to my heart that I always think back to this time with a smile on my face.’ After years of contact with Serki and the children, Madeleine is now also involved as a member of the organisation.

Gertrud and Wigand Schneiderheinze

Gertrud and Wigand Schneiderheinze

While working, Gertrud and Wigand have traveled a lot. This has also taken them to Nepal and India. Through their friendship with Heike, they quickly came into contact with the children's home in Kathmandu and became members of our association. They have taken on sponsorships, which have always been an enrichment for them! Now they hope that the two children's homes in Nepal and India will continue to be as successful and would like to contribute to this.
